Just received an update from a new missionary who visited Give and Take. She said that she as told she was not to take anything unless she volunteered 2 hours of time. I found this LINK. Anyone have any information or updates on the rules?
BYUH Give and Take
- Give and Take Mission: We open to provide BYU-Hawaii students and their families with free, reusable items that they will need. We live to promote land preservation & the reduction of landfill waste.
- The university has quite an effective program to recycle gently used items. Students donate items to our "Give and Take." Other students can give 30 minutes of service to help organize the donated items, and take items when they leave. The following are typical items found at the Give and Take: Children, teen and adult shoes and clothing, kitchenware, kitchen appliances, household goods, towels and bedding, clothing, books, school supplies, toys for children, car seats, strollers, seasonal decorations, bikes that can be repaired, etc. Just about anything can be found here, so major purchases are unnecessary, if you'd like to stop by the "Give and Take."
- On Saturday, senior missionaries are invited to the BYU "Give and Take". Bring the things you are no longer using (kitchen, clothing, etc.). or take an item or two that you may be in need of. This is located adjacent to the Temple View Apartments (TVA), and behind the Heber J. Grant building.
